History of Christians in Turkey....
"Turkey is taking advantage of the war in order to thoroughly liquidate its internal foes, i.e., the indigenous Christians, without being disturbed by foreign intervention." WWI Taalat Pasha one of the founders of the Turkey State and ruler of the Ottoman Empire.
Christians in Turkey dates back to 1st century AD during biblical times when Christianity spread out of Jerusalem into today's Turkey. You can read in book of Acts. Their are two prominent roots of Christian history that is in Turkey, one is in Constantinople (Istanbul) called Hagia Sophia which is the former Greek Orthodox Christian Church and for over a thousand years was the largest in the world. Second, is located in Antioch (Antakya). Antioch is where the "Christian" name originated and was established by St. Peters himself. St Peter is composed of a cave carved into the mountainside on Mount Starius.
Turkey is also the home of the seven Churches of Asia as described in the book of revelations. (click to see video for history and sites).
Apostle John is reported to have taken the Virgin Mary to Ephesus in western Turkey, where she lived her last days in a small house. Today it is a holy site for Catholics and Orthodox churches, as well as being a Muslim shrine.
So, Christianity began to spread into the country as early as 40 AD. Tiridates III of Armenia made Christianity the state religion in 301 becoming the first official Christian state, ten years before the Roman Empire granted Christianity an official toleration under Galerius, and 36 years before Constantine the Great was baptized.
After the fall of the Kingdom of Armenia in 428, most of Armenia was incorporated as a marzpanate within the Sasanian Empire. Following the Battle of Avarayr in 451, Christian Armenians maintained their religion and Armenia gained autonomy.
The Creation of the Ottoman empire...
Ottoman Empire, empire was created by Turkish tribes in Anatolia (Asia Minor) that grew to be one of the most powerful states in the world during the 15th and 16th centuries.
Angelican, American Presbyterian and German Lutheran missionaries arrived in the Ottoman Empire in the 19th-century. During the tumultuous period of the first world war, up to 3 million indigenous Christians are alleged to have been killed. It is important to note that non Muslims have "NO RIGHTS" in an Islamic government. Non Muslims pay higher taxes and are not allowed to hold higher government positions. This alone, is reason why their is no peace in the middle east, which is the birthplace and homeland of millions of Christians and Jews. Turkey denies that their was any Armenian Genocide. After the Ottomans surrendered in 1918, the leaders of the Young Turks fled to Germany, which promised not to prosecute them for the genocide. The Turkish directorate of religious affairs is set to seize over 50 churches, monasteries and cemeteries belonging to the Christian Syriac community in southeastern Turkey. Tur Adin is a large area with a multitude of mostly Syriac Orthodox churches, monasteries and ruins. Settlements in Tur Abdin include Midyat. The Christian community in Midyat is supplemented by a refugee community from Syria and has four operating churches. Some of the most significant Syriac churches and monasteries in existence are in or near Midyat including Mor Gabriel Monastery and the Saffron Monastery. The Gülen movement Charter Schools involved in indoctrination and espionage...
Pastor Brunson was charged with “membership in an armed terrorist organization”, part of the deep state that tried to take over the Turkish Government. This so called terrorist organization has charter schools around the globe and in the United States. One man who is behind it all is a Imam from Turkey named, Fethullah Gulen. This Imam had full support of former President Bill Clinton. Mr Clinton especially thanks him for his friendship to him and Hillary. ( click video to see Clintons endorsement.) 60 minutes did an investigation that covers why Fethullah Gulen came to United States for medical treatment and why he had to stay. Gulen denies any coupe ordered by him. It also interviews a former American teacher that worked for the Gulen schools and was married to Turkish teacher. That their are many Turkish teachers here on HB1 visas, taking jobs away from Americans and they have to give 40% of their income in which is estimated receiving 500 million from US tax payers back to the Gulen organization called FETO. It is not proven that Pastor Brunson is affiliated with this organization or not, but I do believe his release was to reveal to us the corruption that is going on within our own country. By using foreign run charter schools to indoctrinate and steal the minds, money and freedoms of Americans. By assisting in the persecution of minority Christians in other nations.
